San Francisco Facade inspection and maintenance program

The facade inspection and maintenance ordinance is accompanied by Administrative Bulletin (AB) 110, issued by the Department of Building Inspection (DBI). AB 110 details the application of the ordinance, including inspection and maintenance procedures to protect historic buildings.

AB 110 requires that San Francisco building facades are regularly inspected by a California licensed architect or engineer.

If your building is 5 or more stories tall, you may need to have your facade inspected and submit a report every 10 years.
